Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Manufacturing Process Technician to join our team at Sun Chemical in Vancouver.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for following detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accurately manufacture printing ink and other materials.

The ideal candidate will have effective written and oral communication skills, as well as basic computer knowledge. They must also be able to lift, load, and stack pails up to 20 kgs onto pallets, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • FOLLOW A RECIPE TO ACCURATELY MANUFACTURE INK AND OTHER MATERIALS INTO MIXERS
  • OPERATE MIXERS USED TO MANUFACTURE PRINTING INK FOLLOWING DETAILED SOP'S
  • EFFECTIVE WRITTEN AND ORAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS, AND BASIC COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE
  • LIFTING, LOADING AND STACKING OF PAELS UP TO 20 KG'S ONTO PALLETS
  • ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH ALL HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS
  • GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF WHMIS
  • ADHERING TO ALL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
  • FORKLIFT LICENSE AN ASSET
  • OTHER DUTIES AS REQUIRED

  • MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT AND ABLE TO SAFELY AND REPEATEDLY, PULL AND CARRY HEAVY ITEMS
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK QUICKLY ON A CONSISTENT BASIS THROUGH-OUT THE SHIFT
  • MUST BE ENERGETIC, SELF-MOTIVATED AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION
  • MUST DEMONSTRATE A PROVEN RECORD OF CONSISTENT ON-TIME ATTENDANCE
  • PREVIOUS MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ENVIRONMENT IS AN ASSET
  • A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA IS PREFERRED
Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive compensation package that includes a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
