About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Pizza Pizza. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Food Preparation: Load buspans and trays, replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to maintain inventory levels.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to prepare for food preparation.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
