Job Title: Finish Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Harold Schlichting. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to create high-quality finishes for our construction projects.

Work Environment

Our Finish Carpenter will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions. You will be required to work in various locations, including construction sites, renovation projects, and commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Own vehicle and steel-toed safety boots.
