About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at New Nugget Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for our customers.
    • Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dining areas.
    • Ensure that all equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Ensure that all supplies are properly labeled and stored.
  • Equipment Operation
    • Operate dishwashers, deep fryers, food dispensers, and other kitchen equipment as needed.
    • Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve our goals and objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen and dining areas.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience
    • Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for long periods.
  • Language
    • Fluency in English is required.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-40 hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and will be expected to maintain a high level of energy and productivity throughout their shift.
