About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at Michigan Diner. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory treats for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Prepare special orders and ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Schedule staff and oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Reliability, dependability, and a client-focused approach.

Our bakery is a fast-paced environment where you will be working with a team to produce high-quality baked goods. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
