Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Account Executive Officer (AEO) to join our Bond & Specialty Insurance (B&SI) group. As a key member of our team, you will partner with brokers to provide Architect & Engineers professional liability insurance to businesses of all sizes. Your technical expertise and ability to assess complex risk will contribute to the profitability and success of Travelers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an assigned book of business to achieve profitability, growth, and retention through advanced knowledge of Travelers' risk appetite and underwriting authority.
- Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Foster relationships with brokers to market and promote Travelers' products, leveraging a full range of product knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a finance-related discipline
- Six to eight years of finance-related experience or management liability, professional liability, and/or surety underwriting experience
- Deep knowledge of management liability, professional liability, and/or surety products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market
- Relevant experience interacting with brokers
- Strong financial acumen, including the ability to analyze financial statements and client's operational history
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges
