Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Shilo, Manitoba. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with our team to provide high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat patients with varying levels of injury or illness
• Consult and advise medical authorities on occupational therapy practices
• Provide oversight of regional or local occupational therapy services
• Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities
• Deliver instruction in areas of expertise
• Support research activities
• Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities

Requirements:

• Licence in good standing with the provincial or territorial professional college or association
• Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Occupational Therapist with various orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, pre and postsurgical adult populations
• Experience with at least four of the following specific rehabilitation fields: upper extremity injuries, assessment and treatment of chronic pain patients, cognitive and/or mental health rehabilitation, home access assessment and modifications, provision of assistive devices/adaptive equipment, injury prevention and ergonomics, driving rehabilitation and vehicle modification prescription, or vocational rehabilitation
