Electrical Revit Detailer Opportunity

Black & McDonald's Electrical ICI team is seeking a skilled and collaborative professional to contribute to our innovative and hard-working team. As a Revit Detailer, you will be engaged in key projects and initiatives to drive new revenues and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering contract drawings, details, and sketches from conceptual design through tender to construction documents for building structures using Autodesk Revit.
  • Coordinate through Navisworks and Autodesk's construction cloud.
  • Work with project managers and other BIM/CAD detailers to contribute to the success of our electrical projects.
  • Liaise with counterparts from other trades to develop clash-free BIM 3D models.
  • Prepare 2D/3D layout drawings for material installation on site.
  • Prepare fabrication drawings for pre-fabrication.

Education Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a subject related to Autodesk Revit & Navisworks
  • Completion of a two to three year college program in engineering and drafting technology
Work Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in the efficient and effective setup of pre-fabrication
  • Familiarity with electrical construction products and installation methods
  • Recent training and/or experience with Building Information Modelling software (Revit)
  • Basic knowledge of the building code
  • Proficiency with Autodesk REVIT MEP Suite, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Navisworks
