Job Title: Metal Sprayer

We are seeking a skilled Metal Sprayer to join our team at Ontario Inc. as a key member of our production team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to metal surfaces using various techniques and equipment. This is a permanent position requiring a high level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and prepare work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Organize and maintain inventory of materials and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to ensure accurate coating application
  • Check the thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers, or other devices
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications
  • Select and apply the appropriate paint or mix paints as required
  • Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for coating application
  • Tend or operate equipment to spray or coat metal surfaces
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure coatings meet specifications
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in metal coating or related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • First Aid Certificate, Forklift Operator Certification, WHMIS Certificate, and CSTS Certificate
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working at heights
