About the Role

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Routine Medical Care: Conduct physical exams, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests to diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
  • Manage Chronic Conditions: Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
  • Perform Procedures: Conduct routine procedures, such as vaccinations, suturing, and minor surgeries.
  • Prescribe Medications: Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary to manage patients' medical conditions.
  • Communicate with Patients and Families: Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and answering their questions.
  • Collaborate with Other Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
Requirements
  • Education: Must have a medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: Must have experience in family medicine or a related field.
  • Certifications: Must be certified by the Medical Council of Canada or a equivalent organization.
  • Skills: Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
