About the Role:

Job Responsibilities:
Maintain tools and equipment in ready-for-service condition
Perform wiring and signal installation on new construction projects
Conduct periodic inspections and tests as per railway and PNR standards
Perform special duties assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent
Work cooperatively with other maintainers on technical issues and troubleshooting
Perform general labor tasks as necessary, including operating equipment
Comply with railway and PNR safe work practices and signal work procedures
Complete administrative duties related to proper documentation as per PNR Quality Management System
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Railway Signalman
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Knowledge of track maintenance aspects
Track Inspection Guidelines certification is an asset
Certification in Canadian Railway Operating Rules
A valid driver's license
Physical Requirements:
The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions
Exposure to live tracks/trains and high voltage
Protective equipment is required, and travel to work sites is expected
