About the Mechanic Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at First Student in Mississauga, ON. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our school buses to ensure vehicle readiness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
  • Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
  • Assist with mobile emergency services.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain license while employed - We train.
  • At least 1 year of automotive or diesel maintenance and repair experience or technical school education.
  • Possess a mechanic's tool set.
  • Willingness to participate in ASE certification program. Training, testing, and bonuses provided.
  • Subject to background check.
