**Job Overview**

Vancouver Island Health Authority is seeking a skilled Manager, Payroll Processing to lead our financial operations team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the workflow of payroll processing functions.

The ideal candidate will have a recognized accounting designation or payroll management certification, with at least seven years of senior financial administration experience in a healthcare environment. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to client-focused services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the payroll processing team and ensure accurate and timely completion of bi-weekly payroll cycles.
  • Develop and recommend budgets, monitor expenditures, analyze and report on variances, and implement remedial action as needed.
  • Cultivate a positive work environment and promote quality improvement principles throughout the department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognized accounting designation (CPA) or Payroll Management certification.
  • Seven years of senior financial administration experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
