Job Title: Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at P GILL CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training to ensure our team members have the skills they need to succeed.
  • Prepare bids to secure new projects and grow our business.
  • Prepare production and other reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions to ensure our team is fully staffed and equipped to complete projects.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to protect our team members and the public.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements and ensure accurate execution.
  • Recommend personnel actions to ensure our team is working effectively and efficiently.
  • Requisition materials and supplies to ensure projects have the necessary resources to succeed.
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure they are completed to the highest quality standards.
Requirements:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a construction project management role.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a construction supervisory role.
  • Construction industry experience with a focus on project management and supervision.
  • Basic security clearance to ensure access to sensitive project information.
  • Tight deadlines and work under pressure to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with team members and clients.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Initiative to take ownership of projects and drive results.
  • Judgement to make informed decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Organized to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Reliability to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Team player to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
