Electromagnetic Compatibility Specialist

About the Role

Matrox is seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) specialist to join our team. As an EMC specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by testing, reporting, training, and documenting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EMC norms, standards, and referenced test procedures.
• Research and stay current on the latest EMC and RF test methods.
• Collaborate with management to update test procedures and training as needed.
• Communicate understanding of tests standards for various regulatory and geographical domains.
• Perform EMC testing and generate reports.
• Conduct ISO-accredited internal test equipment calibration.
• Provide training on EMC/RF testing to other employees.
• Participate in setting up and maintaining new tests or test areas.
• Oversee product testing at third-party facilities.
• Assist in maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Debug EMC-related issues and maintain detailed notes of troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Communicate progress and technical issues with clients.
• Request estimates from vendors.
• Participate in design and manufacturing reviews to prevent EMC problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in EMC and RF testing.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 requirements.
• OIQ membership (junior members acceptable).
• Motivated, thorough, and detail-oriented individual.
• Organized, critical thinker, and team player.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
