Electrical Draftsperson Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Draftsperson to join our team at EMEC Design Group LTD. As an Electrical Draftsperson, you will be responsible for preparing engineering designs and drawings, developing and preparing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using CAD software
  • Develop and prepare design sketches to visualize electrical systems
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates for electrical projects
  • Prepare contracts and tenders for electrical work
  • Write technical reports and specifications for electrical systems
  • Estimate costs and materials for electrical projects
  • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets for electrical projects
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors
  • Consult with clients, engineers, or production specialists to establish product requirements
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in electrical drafting or design
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 32 to 40 hours per week
