About the Job

Lipstick Landscaping is seeking a skilled and physically fit Labourer to join our team in maintaining our commercial landscapes. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, raking and collecting refuse, and removing litter and garbage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns and gardens.
  • Rake and collect refuse, and remove litter and garbage from the work site.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including hand and power tools.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep management informed.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including weed trimmers and edgers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physically demanding work, including handling heavy loads and working in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and maintain attention to detail.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Valid driver's licence and own transportation.
  • Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and rain gear.
Working Conditions
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physically demanding work, including handling heavy loads.
