Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Waterproofing and Roofing Specialist to join our team at UNITED WATERPROOERS CANADA INC. As a Waterproofing and Roofing Specialist, you will be responsible for installing single-ply roofing systems, repairing or replacing existing systems, and applying waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Utilize hand and power tools.
  • Prepare and maintain work materials and supplies.
  • Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations.
  • Determine layout and installation procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
  • Document and prepare invoices and work orders.
  • Repair and service exterior prefabricated products.
  • Install interior prefabricated products.
  • Install exterior prefabricated products.

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling.
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Hard hat.
