Job Title: Family Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Specialist to join our team at Dr Odetola Professional Corporation. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals
  • Help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness
  • Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
  • Participate on institutional committees
  • Perform and assist in routine surgery
  • Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
  • Participate in health care policy and planning
  • Advise patients on health care
  • Supervise staff
  • Be the patient advocate
  • Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
  • Provide acute care management
  • Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
Requirements:
  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
  • Specialization in family practice
  • Family counselling
