About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Aspen After School Care. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the overall well-being of children, including their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities that foster learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Health and Hygiene: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers working with children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certifications and Licenses: Child Development Worker (ECE Level 2)
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, attention to detail
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, reliability, values and ethics
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
