About the Role:
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, and routine maintenance on heavy duty/diesel trucks. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting and repair skills, with the ability to diagnose and fix complex mechanical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues with engines, transmissions, clutches, electrical and pneumatic systems, gearboxes, hydraulics, cooling systems, exhaust, brakes, suspensions, lights, etc.
- Repair and replace worn or broken parts as needed.
- Write service reports and record analysis.
- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
Requirements:
- Must have Truck and Transport Red Seal certification, or be nearing completion of Red Seal requirements.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
