We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician and Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electricity and automation, with experience in planning and executing new or modified installations, including control and distribution apparatus.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute new or modified installations from start to finish.
- Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
- Maintain motor bearings and brushes.
- Replace damaged or broken equipment.
- Troubleshoot poorly performing equipment and identify a plan to repair or improve deficiencies.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Four years of related experience and/or two years of technical craft training.
- Familiarity with Sawmill and Planer production facilities and processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, VFD operation, and understanding of ladder logic.
