Salary Information
Estimated annual salary: $87,360 (based on $42/hour)
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have experience with food packaging equipment and industrial maintenance, a Red Seal Millwright License, and strong skills in electrical and PLC technologies. Responsibilities include:
- Performing repairs and preventative maintenance inspections on production line equipment.
- Developing and following a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshooting machinery and acting with urgency on on-floor calls and emergencies.
- Identifying and ordering spare parts as needed.
- Completing a work schedule in cooperation with Maintenance & Production Supervisors.
- Acting as a liaison for contractors conducting repairs within the plant.
- Ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and on time, including daily time sheets, pre-operational forms, maintenance logs, and work orders.
- Performing various skilled tasks such as electrical work, PLC programming, refrigeration, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, plumbing, and fabricating as required.
- Complying with Health and Safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety standards, and Environmental guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Red Seal Millwright License is required.
- 3-5 years of experience with food packaging equipment and industrial maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electronics, PLC technologies, and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of programmable controls and computer literacy.
- Additional Skilled Trade Licenses are an asset.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
- Ability to assess decisions and work effectively under pressure.
