Job Title: Agricultural Crop Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Crop Supervisor to join our team at SOUTHSHORE GREENHOUSES INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, ensuring farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, and maintaining quality control and production records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
  • Maintain quality control and production records
  • Maintain work records and logs
  • Hire and train staff
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • Perform general farm duties

Work Environment: The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to work under pressure. The work will be physically demanding, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience an asset
  • Or equivalent experience

Work Term: Permanent

Work Language: English

Hours: 44 to 51 hours per week
