Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Cook de cuisine to join our team of talented individuals. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and preparing food preparation and cooking activities, as well as preparing and cooking meals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities, including meals to go, savory pies, soups, salads, and short order products.
  2. Prepare and cook meals, including breakfasts based on in-house recipes and/or clients' specific requirements.
  3. Operate machinery, gas burners, ovens, fryer, salamander, steam pot, and cook dishes prepared.
  4. Plan a production calendar to determine seasonal products and quantities.
  5. Ensure knowledge and strict application of health and security standards.
  6. Maintain rigour in the production of goods of exceptional quality and standards.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 1 year experience/training as a Cook de cuisine in commercial European, Mediterranean, or International cuisine food preparation, or equivalent credentials.
  2. Knowledge of French and/or English language.
  3. Authorized to work in Canada.

Compensation

$17 - $18 an hour, 44 hours per week maximum over a 7-day work week, day or afternoon shifts. Work schedule to be determined.
