Culinary Specialist

Shannex Incorporated is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Parkland Cape Breton in Sydney, Nova Scotia. As a Casual Cook, you will be responsible for planning and preparing meals according to established standards, procedures, recipes, and menus. This includes preparing special meals to meet therapeutic menu modifications according to established guidelines. You will also assist with food preparation for special functions, such as catering and theme dinners, to ensure service meets established standards. Additionally, you will report any recipe shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to the Executive Chef or supervisor in a timely manner. You will maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, including cooking stations and equipment, according to legislative and organizational standards. If you have a Culinary Arts Diploma and a valid Red Seal Certificate, current Food Handler's Certificate, experience in preparing large quantities of food, and the ability to read and follow detailed recipes and instructions, we encourage you to apply.
