Job Title: Herbal Medicine Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Herbal Medicine Assistant to join our team at the Nutrition Centre. As an Herbal Medicine Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals in the assessment and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists.
  • Assist healthcare professionals in the assessment and treatment of patients.
  • Develop information materials for patients.
  • Follow through on treatment programs with patients.
  • Record test results and medications given by ophthalmologists.
  • Set up and dismantle equipment.
  • Clean and maintain equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Record information about donors.
  • Clean and dress wounds.
  • Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices.
  • Prepare solutions for preservation of specimens.
  • Remove casts, sutures, and pins.
  • Collect statistics.
  • Maintain supplies.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment.
  • Perform general clerical duties.
  • Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas.
  • Process files and paperwork.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history.

Requirements:

  • Will train.
