The Investment Analyst Role

The Investment Analyst role focuses on providing financial analysis, portfolio monitoring, investor reporting, and support for project financing across various real estate developments. Key responsibilities include creating financial models, analyzing portfolio performance, coordinating investor reports, and contributing to special projects and business strategies.

The role is deadline-driven, requiring strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role breakdown is as follows:

  • Financial Analysis & Decision Support - 50%
  • Portfolio Management - 30%
  • Investor Reporting - 20%

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years of experience in real estate, investment banking, private equity or consulting
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or mathematics
  • Pursuit of the CFA, CPA or MBA would be an asset
  • Advanced level Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, quantitative, and research skills
