Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Giant Tiger in Stoney Creek. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating electronic cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures a high level of customer service at the checkouts
  • Accurately records customer transactions in electronic cash registers
  • Replenishes merchandise around the checkout area
  • Ensures health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
  • Ensures Loss prevention best practices are followed
  • Ensures compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

A typical part-time schedule will be a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.

The physical demands of this position include standing and/or walking, bending, twisting, and squatting, lifting and/or moving up to 18 kg (40 lbs.), and performing tasks involving firm grasping and repetitive hand motions.
