Job Title: Cashier (Part-time)

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a part-time Cashier at Giant Tiger. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating electronic cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high level of customer service at the checkouts
  • Accurately record customer transactions in electronic cash registers
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
  • Ensure Loss prevention best practices are followed
  • Ensure compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

A typical part-time schedule will be a mix of days, evenings and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.

While performing the duties of this job, you can expect to:

  • Stand and/or walk
  • Bend, twist, and squat

  • Perform tasks involving firm grasping
  • Perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions
  • Reach above shoulder height and below waist level
  • Operate equipment, including using a ladder
