Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule activities: Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of our construction teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers: Work closely with other project supervisors and managers to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed: Develop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules: Analyze project requirements and develop efficient workflows to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Read blueprints and drawings: Interpret and analyze architectural plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate understanding of project requirements.
  • Recommend personnel actions: Provide guidance and recommendations on employee performance, development, and personnel matters to support the growth and success of our team members.
  • Requisition materials and supplies: Coordinate the procurement of necessary materials, equipment, and services to support project execution and minimize delays.
  • Supervise workers and projects: Lead and manage construction teams, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Train or arrange for training: Identify areas for skill development and provide opportunities for training, mentoring, and professional growth for team members.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills;
  • A strong understanding of construction operations, processes, and best practices;
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and architectural plans;
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills;
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols;
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces (if required by the project);
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when needed.
