We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Millwright to join our team at Canfor. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our sawmill equipment.

• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mill equipment, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
• Time Management: Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to identify and request relevant parts for repairs.
• Safety and Accountability: Ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors on site.

• Red Seal Certification: Industrial Mechanic certification is required.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
• Urgency: High degree of urgency to meet deadlines and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Teamwork: Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.
• Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process is an asset, as well as experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability.
