As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective and efficient manner. Your key responsibilities will include the procurement, handling, processing, and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results. Furthermore, you will work within a team environment to meet operational requirements and provide excellent interpersonal and communication skills to clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement, handling, processing, and testing of specimens
  • Performing procedures and reporting results
  • Meeting operational requirements and providing excellent client services
  • Working within a team environment

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program
  • Recent phlebotomy and ECG experience within the last 2 years
  • Ability to lift to 10lbs on a frequent basis
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a mobile collections environment
  • Working knowledge of Connect Care and MCIS
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
