About the Role

In this senior position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive excellence in veterinary medicine. You will work closely with hospital teams and operational leaders to ensure consistency in protocols and best practices, advance standards of care, and facilitate professional development and mentorship.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Strategic Initiatives: Work with hospital teams and operational leaders to develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive excellence in veterinary medicine.
  • Promote Clinical Excellence: Collaborate with hospital teams to promote clinical excellence, advance standards of care, and ensure consistent implementation of protocols and best practices.
  • Support Hospital Operations: Partner with Managing Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (MDVMs) and operations teams to apply tailored strategies for hospital success.
  • Foster Community Engagement: Participate in regional and national events to foster community engagement and promote the organization's mission.
  • Develop and Implement SOPs: Help develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in protocols and best practices.
  • Monitor KPIs: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support hospital teams in achieving their goals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of clinical experience
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited school
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in Canada
  • Proven leadership and management experience
  • Strong understanding of veterinary regulations and standards of care
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to travel within the region (approximately 30%)
  • French language skills are an asset (but not required)
