The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team at the North Island Comox Valley Hospital. As a key member of our orthopedic department, you will be responsible for performing primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, as well as other elective procedures.
About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to work in a busy community practice with a team of 5 orthopaedic surgeons. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our orthopedic services.
Requirements- FRCSC qualification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship in arthroplasty or equivalent work experience
- Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
Island Health offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)
- Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
- Fee Premium 6.93%
- Annual Flat Fee $10,052
- CME payments of $ in years 3 and 4 and $ after 4 years
