Job Title: Azure Cloud Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at ALLTECH CONSULTING SVC INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing cloud architecture patterns for Azure and collaborating with software delivery teams to execute our technology vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop cloud architecture patterns for Azure and submit to the divisional Architecture repository.
  2. Educate project teams on Azure technology options, benefits, and costs.
  3. Work with central centers of excellence to develop best practices and blueprints.
  4. Discover and incorporate new Azure or Open-Source technology choices into our Cloud Service Catalogue.
  5. Document cloud architectures and Architecture Decision Records.
  6. Coordinate with the Cloud Project team to qualify new requests.

Requirements:

  1. 10+ years of experience architecting reporting or client-facing solutions, ideally within Financial Services or similar industry.
  2. Deep expertise in Azure technologies, including their evolution over time and future developments.
  3. Excellent communication skills.
  4. Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, especially in the context of Azure.
  5. Deep expertise in architecting for resiliency, including availability zones, regions, and data replication.
  6. Understanding of Architecture methodology, either from a consulting organization or within a team that follows a structured Architecture process.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience working with Kubernetes (Azure AKS) or similar.
  2. Experience working with Kafka and/or Event Bus type architectures.
  3. Experience working with Snowflake or other Cloud-based Data Platforms.
  4. Experience coding with Java Spring.
  5. Experience building cost models and proactively exploring opportunities to reduce cost in Cloud.
