As a Preconstruction Manager at Colliers Project Leaders, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional capital project solutions to our clients. We're looking for experienced professionals who can bring their skills and expertise to our Construction Solutions team.

Your Responsibilities



  • Provide leadership in preconstruction activities to optimize project delivery and minimize risks.
  • Engage with owners, architects, and engineers during the design stage to provide recommendations and ensure constructability, value engineering, and sequencing options.
  • Develop and implement procurement procedures for goods, services, and works packages to support publicly funded projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess sites and prepare project management documentation as required.
  • Actively participate in business development and proposals for new and existing clients.
  • Maintain internal financial control of managed projects and ensure compliance with internal Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Assist with training and mentoring staff and provide leadership across assigned projects.
  • Utilize industry-standard tools and software to prepare deliverables for Construction Solutions.

Requirements



  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field combined with experience in the construction industry.
  • 4-8 years of progressive work-related experience in design, cost estimating, and construction.
  • Professional Engineering qualifications will be given preference.
  • PMP qualifications will be given preference, or willingness to obtain within one year.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with national and local building codes, health & safety regulations, and regulatory permit requirements for the construction industry.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and design details.
  • In-depth knowledge of trades relevant to commercial construction.
  • Knowledge of government regulations regarding the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and project management software.
