About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Healthcare Workplace Safety Lead to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Exposure Prevention team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to prevent workplace exposures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to senior leadership, managers, and the Safety & Well-being team on compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Conduct literature reviews and research to inform effective prevention and intervention measures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement standardized instructional programs and training materials.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Occupational Hygiene or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in program planning, implementation, evaluation, and adult education.
  • Registered member of a professional organization such as AIHA or ACGIH.
  • Eligible for certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Registered Occupational Hygienist (ROH).
