Automotive Body Repair Technician

At SKYDOME AUTO AND TRUCK CENTRE, we are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our body shop, you will be responsible for estimating repair costs, inspecting repaired vehicles, and planning repair work to be performed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive repair principles and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for replacing front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components, as well as filing, grinding, and sanding body surfaces to be repaired.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be responsible for operating soldering equipment, using plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams, and straightening bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate repair costs based on damage examination report
  • Inspect repaired vehicles
  • Plan repair work to be performed
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in automotive body repair
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
