Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Afternoon Supervisor to join our team at Tim Hortons. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities:- Health and Safety:
- Ensure all team members perform work in a safe manner, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Work in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
- Know, understand, and follow safe work practices and procedures.
- Report all injuries/illness, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents, and any contravention of health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures to the Restaurant Manager or Owner.
- Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to during shifts, including documentation of any work-related injuries or accidents.
- Record and utilize logs as per food safety standards, such as temperature logs.
- Human Resources:
- Supervise team members.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in recruitment.
- Conduct pre-shift huddles and motivate employees throughout the shift.
- Ensure employees are in proper uniform and standards.
- Provide coaching and feedback as necessary.
- Provide training as required.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure quality and standards are met.
- Handle customer service complaints with confidence, quickly, and professionally.
- Puts corrective actions in place.
- Operations:
- Assign duties to employees as required.
- Assign floats and balance cash at the end of the shift.
- Ensure the restaurant is stocked, cleaned, staffed, and prepared for the following shift.
- Previous experience in the food service industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Tim Hortons products and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous supervision experience is an asset.
- Excellent customer service focus.
- Consistent adherence to policies and procedures.
