At Hercules SLR, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Sudbury, ON.

Salary: Competitive wage package estimated at $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various heavy equipment, including overhead electric cranes, hoists, and lifting gear. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electricity and hydraulics, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment
  • Diagnostics and repair of equipment problems
  • Maintenance and trouble shooting of overhead electric cranes and their components
  • Completing reports on inspected items accurately and submitting to administration
  • Maintaining paperwork and records of used inventory for billing and certification purposes
  • Picking up and delivering products to customers as required in company truck
  • Assisting in the development of efficient and effective work methods consistent with company policies and procedures
  • Providing input to customer quotes
  • Completing cycle counts of inventory on a periodic basis, as required
  • Performing general labour and/or maintenance work
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Millwright or Electrical apprentice
  • Recognized trade qualification as a journeyman Millwright or Electrician considered an asset
  • Experience performing maintenance and troubleshooting on overhead electric cranes an asset
  • Knowledge of electricity and hydraulics, capable of troubleshooting for general maintenance
