About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Corporate Accountant to join our rapidly growing Corporate Accounting team at Robinhood. This individual will be responsible for analyzing and explaining monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances, as well as recording and reconciling crypto-related transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances.
  • Record and reconcile crypto-related transactions, including preparing and maintaining monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
  • Assist with compiling internal team requests and external audit requests.
  • Research important accounting issues and suggest best practices and applications in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Lead meetings with cross-functional stakeholders on crypto projects.
  • Work cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders on crypto projects.
  • Establish accounting processes for crypto projects, including providing stakeholders with accounting requirements and setting up monthly accounting processes.
  • Work with various departments to streamline data flow and processes.
  • Assist with system automation projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 3-5 years of total experience, preferably combined in public accounting and public/private crypto sectors.
  • Understanding of GAAP standards.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience with process improvement and proficiency with spreadsheets.
  • Hands-on experience in the financial close process.
  • Experience with foreign entity accounting.
