Job Opportunity: Civil Engineering Technologist / Engineer in Training

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist or Engineer in Training to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of land and site development projects.

Your primary focus will be on site plan design for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional developments, as well as the design of linear infrastructure, culverts, and water crossings. You will also be involved in municipal infrastructure, urban drainage, and stormwater management projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop site plans for various types of developments
  2. Design linear infrastructure, including private and municipal roadways, storm water, sanitary, watermains, and utilities
  3. Conduct culvert and water crossing design
  4. Develop multi-lot subdivision designs
  5. Manage municipal infrastructure, urban drainage, and stormwater management projects
  6. Prepare technical reports, approvals, specifications, and calculations
  7. Perform field inspections of municipal services
Requirements
  1. Relevant qualifications from a Civil Engineering or Technology Program or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. 2+ years of experience, preferably in the consulting industry
  3. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  4. Possess a valid Class G driver's license and a clean driving record
  5. Experience and proficiency using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads associated with municipal infrastructure projects
