About the Role
The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Redevelopment Projects Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for organizing and leading the development of construction projects, under the direction of Senior Leadership, on a high-profile development project.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute Design Assist construction contracts
- Oversee financial management activities, including budget and invoice review
- Prepare and review schedules and specifications
- Negotiate contracts and revisions with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Monitor construction activities on site
- Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage user groups and stakeholders
- Hire and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and tradespeople
- Perform administrative tasks to ensure efficient department operation
- Perform cross-functional duties as required
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture or Engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience
- Certified PMP is an asset
- LEED, Construction Gold Seal is an asset
- CSA Infection Control is an asset
- PEng. OAA, RPP are an asset
- Excellent problem-solving, change, and risk management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- High level of organization
- Relationship management skills
- Technical knowledge of construction means and methods
- Aptitude for presentations and meeting leadership
- Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills
- Political acuity
- Ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines
