Academic Instructor for Data Analytics and Machine Learning Course

At the University of Toronto, we are seeking a highly skilled Academic Instructor to teach our Foundations of Data Analytics and Machine Learning course.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual with expertise in Python programming, probability and statistics, linear algebra, algorithms, discrete math, and optimization techniques.

The successful candidate will have experience in teaching and developing curricula for data science courses, as well as hands-on experience with tools like NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, and Jupyter/IPython notebooks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver lectures on data analytics and machine learning concepts
  • Develop and grade assignments, quizzes, and exams
  • Assist students with lab sessions and project development
  • Mentor students in research projects related to data science

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Expertise in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis
  • Strong teaching and communication skills
  • Experience with curriculum development and course administration

What We Offer

A competitive salary range is between $94,579 and $123,661 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, plus benefits and a pension plan.
