Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Furniture Craftsman to join our team at Vanway Kitchens. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for designing and building custom cabinets to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage space.
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in furniture making or a related field is preferred.
Work Environment
