We are looking for a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Lead to join our team at our Athabasca Oriented Strand Board (OSB) division in Slave Lake, Alberta.
This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive operating and maintenance experience to lead our team in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fire systems, process safety equipment, and newly built thermal energy system.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, commitment to working safely, and excellent communication skills. They will also be able to work independently with little supervision and possess previous experience in a forest products environment, which is considered an asset.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a high-performance team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fire systems, process safety equipment, and newly built thermal energy system.
- Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance and regulatory efforts in the energy area.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, ABSA and insurance standards by maintaining accurate records.
- Develop and implement training systems and operating procedures for our team of Power Engineer Operators.
- Assume responsibility for the Chief Power Engineer when they are away.
You will be part of a positive, innovative, and inclusive work environment and enjoy a competitive wage of $46.74 per hour, as well as an additional prairie location payment and a trades retention bonus on top of your base pay.
