About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Specialist to join our team at Empire Framing Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Design and implement layouts in accordance with building codes, using precision measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring precise fit and finish
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other team members
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in framing and carpentry
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
