Job Title: Kindergarten Education Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kindergarten Education Assistant to join our team at École St. Mary School in Lethbridge. This is a continuous 14.0 hour per week position that will commence as soon as possible and end June 12, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Kindergarten teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with lesson planning and implementation, including preparing materials and resources.
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including Hanen Learning Language and Loving It Certification.
  • Work collaboratively with the Speech Language Pathologist to provide supports and cues for sound production.
  • Participate in trans-disciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop strategies for support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
Requirements:
  • At least one-year experience working in Childhood Program and/or with children with special needs.
  • Experience working proactively with positive intervention with child's behaviours.
  • Ability to work effectively within a trans-disciplinary team.
  • Physical ability to engage and participate in the active ECS environment.
  • Child Development Worker certificate within the first six months of employment.
  • First Aid Training.
