Momentum is seeking a skilled Developmental Service Worker to provide support and care to individuals with special needs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive environment, promoting independence, and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide suicide and crisis intervention, resolving conflict situations and supervising activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses.
- Assist clients/guests with special needs, accompanying them to appointments and social outings, and evaluating work environments to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, oral communication, and written communication.
- Flexibility, initiative, and a team player attitude.
